He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Brooks and Katherine Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Kelleher Brooks; his children, Theresa Jones (William), David Brooks (Grace) and Kevin Brooks (Rima); his grandchildren, Kiersten, Kaitlyn Jones, McKenzie, Keegan and Liam Brooks; and his sisters, Margaret Bryerton, Katherine Garlock, Rhoda Lambiase (Tony) and Julie Corbett (Paul).

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Children's National Medical Center Burn Trauma Clinic 11 Michigan Ave, NW Washington, D.C. 20010.
