She was predeceased by: her husband Jeff Cowan; and her parents, Herbert Porter and Helen Porter. She is survived by: her son Peter; her daughter-in-law Lisa; and her granddaughters, Cora and Margot.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
