He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Tyler and Louise Johnson Tyler; his sister Nancy Tyler; his daughter Debbie Tyler; his grandson Nicholas Brendan Tyler; his brothers, Arthur and Ronald Tyler; his niece Carrie Tyler; his sister-in-law Ida Tyler; and his nephew Wayne Tyler Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Fran Tyler; his son Douglas Tyler Jr.; his daughter-in-law Cindy; his grandchildren, Douglas Tyler III, Danny Tyler (Showtime), Renee and Ryleigh Tyler; and his brother Wayne Tyler. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the George J. Moylan Funeral Home Inc. (2053 NY-32, Rosendale, NY 12472). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
