She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Dever and Sheila Dever (Murphy); and her brother Phillip Dever. She is survived by: her husband Steven Berak; her children, Julia Berak-Pfohl (Matthew), Rebecca Berak and Daniel Berak; her siblings, Brian Dever (Robin), Sharone Young (Jay) and Kevin Dever; and her siblings' children, Devon Young, Connor Young, Morgan Young, Philip Dever and James Dever.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill (1089 Main St, Fishkill, NY 12524). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church (1377 E Main St, Shrub Oak, NY 10588). A burial was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Hillside Cemetery (1033 Oregon Rd, Cortlandt, NY 10567).
In honor of her daughter, Rebecca, donations may be made in memory of Katherine to the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital in Valhalla; or Alzheimer's Association.
