He was predeceased by: his parents, Urban E. Dishart and Theresa G. Dishart (Napier); and his brother Jeff. He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Stephanie, Justin and Melissa; Danny and Greg. He is also survived by his three grandchildren.
Per his wishes, in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his honor to Green Chimneys, a non-profit organization he passionately supported and where he served as a Friends of Green Chimneys Advisory Board member.
