He was predeceased by: his parents, Orrin Ward and Genevieve Linza Ward; his grandson Clayson Pangburn; and his siblings, Gilbert, Lawrence, Erwin, Joanne Ward and Shirley Coombes.
He is survived by: his wife Barb; his children, Jodi Clark (Patrick) of Friendship, Dustin Ward of Friendship, Douglas Ward (Monica) of Friendship, Ross Ward (Marjory) of Friendship, Megan Solomon (Tony) of Friendship, Amanda Ward of Friendship and Becky Hicks (Brian) of Richburg; his grandchildren, Maranda, Cole, Austin, Rafe, MacKenzie, Jarret, Trent, Jeremy, Joseph, Mark Jr., Zane, Claire, Piper, McKayla, Shakira, Kirsten, Kiley and Brock; and his siblings, Robert Ward of Friendship and Anita Cimbricz (Robert) of Salamanca. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
