She is survived by: her children, Jeanette Jackson-Gaines, Jesse Jackson, Jr., Joey Jackson, Fred D. Gaines Jr., Yasmin Rasheed and Katia Jackson; her grandchildren, Hakeem Gaines, Imani Gaines, Phillip Barone, Justin Jackson and Jonathan Jackson; her great grandchildren, Elijah Gaines, Tamara Gaines and Alayah Barone; and her siblings, Dorene Rembert and Derrick Washington. She is also survived by extended family, church members, and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Deer Park - Mangano Family (1701 Deer Pk Ave, Deer Park, NY 11729). A prayer was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 6:15 PM at the same location.
