She was predeceased by: her parents, John Edmiston and Agnes Edmiston (Carroll); her husband Harry Cartwright; her son David; and her siblings, Ruth Edmiston and John Edmiston.
She is survived by: her children, Keri Cartwright-Cox (Denis) of Chittenango, NY, Wayne Cartwright (Madeleine) of Deer Park, Kris Perota (Joe), Glenn Cartwright (Cathy) of Oyster Bay, Kathryn Cartwright of Deer Park and Kara Cartwright (Rob) of Patchogue; her daughter-in-law Susan Cartwright of Farmingdale; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Gardner (Kevin), Shannon Abernathy (Andy), Chelsea Finlay (James), Ryan, Jaclyn, Colin Cartwright, Lianna DeBarba (Leo), Jillian Perota, Kyle, Courtney Cartwright, Michelle Cartwright (Britt), Sean Cartwright, Samantha Cartwright, Damian, Alexandra and Victoria Rivera; and her great grandchildren, Seamus, Finnegan Gardner, Caleb, Aurora Abernathy, Jack and Sydney Finlay.
