He was predeceased by : his parents, Louis Giles and Patricia Giles (Barker); his son Kevin Green; and his brother Robert Giles. He is survived by : his wife Beverly Giles (Thomas); his daughter Yolanda Rogers of Arcade; his daughter-in-law Paulette Green of Franklinville; and his siblings, Louise Weiss of Cheektowaga, Eileen Brittain (Tom) of Arcade, Marie Laub (Bill) of Franklinville, Sally Urban (Jim) of Tonawanda, Kathy Harding of Tonawanda, Richard Giles (Linda) of Winter Haven, FL, Lockport, Christopher Giles (Donna) of Canisteo, NY and Larry Giles of South Dayton. He is also survived by five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arcade United Church of Christ, Congregational.

“Mike was my first meet and instant bond at college. We were roommates there and in Rochester for a time. He was generous, kind, trustworthy, always. Mike was there for you through ups and downs Always giving you his utmost attention, honest interest, support and care. He so enjoyed life. His journeys and yours. I was always grateful he met, by the grace of God, his wife. They completed each other; and I know made Mike's life a joy. God Speed Mike, and my deepest sympathy to all. Just Phil Damico”
