He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Hartwell and Dorothy Hartwell (Moses); his wife Madeline Hartwell (Baker); and his siblings, Pauline Sampson (Arthur), George Hartwell (Shirley) and Melanie Gasper.
He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy Dash (Eric) of Springville, Donna Isaman (Thomas) of Franklinville, Patty Gunsolus (Stan) of Arcade, Joanne Burmester (Jim) of Machias, Sue Andrews (Dave) of Delevan and Tammy Kolacz (Rich) of Alden; his siblings, Janice McKinsey (late Leo) of South Carolina and Paul Hartwell (late Terry) of Texas; his brother-in-law Horace "Red" Gasper of Chaffee; and his pet Kia. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the W.'s. Davis, Inc. Funeral Home (358 W Main St, Arcade, NY 14009). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Community Chapel (11022 NY-16, Delevan, NY 14042).
