He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Sutherland and Herbert Sutherland of Delhi, NY.; his wife Irene Marshfield; and his brother J. Lyle Sutherland. He is survived by: his children, John Sutherland (Ramona) of Scotia, NY, Sharon Johnson (Michael) of Hollister, FL, David Sutherland of Jacksonville, FL and Diane Ringler (Michael) of Loretto, PA.; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Christopher, Carmen, Connor, Ryan and Kayla; and his great grandchildren, Christopher Jr., Aliyah, Cayden, Will and Olivia.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the West Delhi Presbyterian Church (45 Sutherland Rd, Delhi, NY 13753).
