Gianna Lamani Ida-Smith Obituary

It is with sadness that the passing of Gianna Lamani Ida-Smith (Delmar, New York) is shared. Gianna, born on February 23, 2011 in Niskayuna, New York, passed away on July 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Gianna will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Gianna by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Gianna is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Gianna’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.

She is survived by: her parents, Becki Ida and Christopher Smith; her brothers, Cameron Caldwell, Iziah Smith and Chrisiah Smith; and her grandparents, Brent, Mary Ann Ida, Etta Smith and William Smith (Judy). She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to your local animal shelter, the Bethlehem Girls Basketball Booster Club or the Bethlehem Girls Basketball Club (B.G.B.C.).
