She was predeceased by: her parents, Sidney Avner and Frances Avner. She is survived by: her husband Stephen Eckert; her daughters, Sara Eckert (David Garcia) and Amanda Eckert (Grant Myers); her granddaughter Sydney; her brothers, Dr. Jeffrey Avner (Rhonda) and Kenneth Avner (Wendy); and her aunt Dorris.
She guided and anchored the congregation with steady leadership through the immense challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
