He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Edward Dorsey Sr. and Margaret Dorsey (Calloway); and his sister Clara Mae Dorsey Allen. He is survived by: his sons, Kevin D. Dorsey and Edmund M. Dorsey (Dionne); his grandchildren, Elisha Dorsey, Nathanael Dorsey and Micailya Dorsey; and his brother Carl Edward Dorsey Jr. (Louversa). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
