He is survived by: his wife Catherine Bala of Latham, NY; his daughters, Rachel Mickle (John Mickle) of Delmar, NY and Stacey Bala (Eric Morphy) of Raleigh, NC; his sister Carol Castellano of Brewster, NY; and his grandchildren, Charlie and Rowan Mickle.
