We announce the death of Yulanda G. Freeman (Delmar, New York), born in Albany, New York, who passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 59. Yulanda will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Grimes and Kathleen McAlphin. She is survived by: her daughter Naquasha Grimes; her granddaughters, Nydayah Goddard, Leniyah VanHoesen and Mercedes McClean; her siblings, Richard A. Grimes, Victoria Grimes, David Grimes, Gary Grimes, Hannah Jamison, Robert Hymes, Rodney Grimes and Elmer Grimes; her close friend Kimberly Hoke; and her godchildren, LaLa Myaira and Nigianna Grimes. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Meyers Funeral Home (741 Delaware Ave, Delmar, NY 12054). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
