He was predeceased by: his spouse Marion H. Palano; and his sister Carmela Collini (late Michael). He is survived by: his children, Anthony, James (Lois), Robert (Kathy) and Janet Bryant (Jack). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bishop Timon - St. Jude Athletic Department or Hospice Buffalo Inc. Mel was a United States Navy WWII Veteran and retired Physical Education Teacher at Bishop Timon High School.
