He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Gortzig and Joan Gortzig. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Gortzig; his daughter Mary Gortzig; his stepchildren, Cheryl Ann Staniszewski (Walter), Tina Webster (Kevin) and Joelle Staniszewski (Mark); his grandchildren, Hailie, Caiden, Kyle, Ryan, Isaiah, Gavin and Amaya-Rose; and his siblings, Matthew (late Lisa), Christopher (Mary), Paul (Christine), Helene McGarvey (Michael) and Eric Gortzig. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Roswell Park Head and Neck Dept.
