He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Whelan and Jean Whelan; and his brother Michael Whelan. He is survived by: his wife Lori Whelan; his children, Jessica Caba (Diego), Alexis Wright (Kyle) and Timothy Whelan (Cassandra); his grandchildren, Eleanor, Jacob, Lily, Leonicio, Arya and Stella; and his siblings, C. Douglas (Suzanne), John (Donna), Kenneth (late Marsha), Lawrence (Lynn Donoghue) and Barbara Slootsky (Gary). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Pacer Funeral Home, Inc. (2275 George Urban Blvd, Depew, NY 14043). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
