She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Schmelzer and Evelyn Schmelzer. She is survived by: her children, Lori Miller (James), Julie Wipperman (Bernard), Robert (Deanne), Amy, Timothy (Laura) and Holly Lukasik; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Joseph, Haley, Jacob, Toriann, Aloise, Mila, Alexa, Zayden and Ariana; and her siblings, Charles (late Carol), John (late Nancy), Gary Schmelzer (Cheryl) and Mary Karlis (Bob). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
