He is survived by: his wife Catherine Scheidegger; his sons, Bryan J. Van Pelt (Mary) and Scott B. Van Pelt (Debra); his grandchildren, Evan VanPelt (Ashlyn), Anthony Van Pelt and Ryan Van Pelt; his stepgrandchildren, Michelle Sullivan (Thomas) and Matthew O'Brien (Kelly); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Taylor Sullivan, Tucker Sullivan, Evan O'Brien and Avery O'Brien; and his brothers-in-law, Jeffrey O'Neil and Fred Scheidegger (Pat). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
