He was predeceased by : his parents, Laurence Cable and Mary Cable (Scott); and his sons, Matthew and Daniel Cable. He is survived by : his wife Kathleen Cable (Horkott); his daughter Catherine Cable; his sister Betsy Griffin Forkey (Bryan); his sister-in-law Patricia Parisi; his daughter-in-law Sara (Joe D'Elia); his grandchildren, Bailey Cable Antidormi (Peter), Gabriel, Joseph and Jake D'Elia; his great grandchildren, Ronin and Lyra Antidormi; his nieces and nephews, Scott, Sandy Griffin, George, Michael Parisi, Jennifer and Brandi Parisi; and his hound Abbie. He is also survived by friends and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Christ Episcopal Church, 14 Monument St. Deposit, NY 13754.
