Frank Anthony Colao Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frank Anthony Colao of Dewitt, New York, who passed away on June 1, 2025, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Francesco Antonio Colao; his sisters, Marion Leahy and Alice Kuhn; and his daughters, Kathleen Colao and Nora Colao Maxin.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Growe Rochford of Brasher Falls; and his children, Anthony Colao (Jean Dolan) of Westfield, MA, Deborah Stewart (James) of Syracuse, Frank "Gerry" Colao of Brookline, MA, Brian Colao (Sheri Abel) of St. John Island, SC and Cornelius Colao (Kathleen Puliafito) of Orange County, CA. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Holy Cross Church (4112 E Genesee St, Syracuse, NY 13214). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Resurrection Chapel (3486 Elmwood Ave, Buffalo, NY 14217).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made online to Holy Cross Church or by mail to the church at 4112 E. Genesee Street, DeWitt, NY 13214.
