Paul Leland left this world on June 4, 2025 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Stage and Mildred Curtis Stage; his wife Betty A Penhollow Stage; and his siblings, Delos Stage, Louise Malchow, Marie Crandall, Martha Crandall and Charlotte Wood.
He is survived by: his nephew Woodcrest; his children, Gloria Nickerson of Jamestown, Sharry Russo (Tom) of Deltona, FL, Timothy A Stage of Deland, FL and Scott D. Stage of Dewittville; his grandsons, Michael Russo, Nicholas Russo (Jessica), Christopher Russo and Brian Stage; his stepgrandchildren, Trevor, Tage and Keith Nickerson; his great grandchildren, Austin, Nicholas, Roman, Kinley and Camden; his nephew Paul O Stage; and his caregiver Roel Pagulong. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Freay Funeral Home (139 S Erie St, Mayville, NY 14757). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Dewittville Community Church (5452 Meadows Rd, Dewittville, NY 14728).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the North Lake Fire Department (PO Box 2, Mayville, NY 14757).
