She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlton Roof and Lois Roof; and her sister Virginia Rarick. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth G. Bates of Paul's Episcopal Church; her children, Michael A. Bates (Deanne) of Butler, WI, David S. Bates (Mary) of Watertown, NY, Steven M. Bates (Leigh) of Niskayuna, NY and Lauren A.; her son-in-law Jeffrey DeWitte of Deansboro, NY.; her grandchildren, Eric, Brandon, Mason, Taylor, Brianna, Kendra, Michael, Jennifer, Maisie and Malcolm; and her nephews, Todd and Joel Rarick. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Donations in Judy's memory may be made to the Northpole Fire Company for their invaluable service in assisting Judy over the last several years or Dexter Masonic Lodge No. 1072.
