She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Porter and Ella Porter (Shelmadine); her husband Howard Schultz; her son Dale Schultz; and her brother David Porter.

She is survived by: her sons, Bruce (Amy Schultz) and James (Kathleen Schultz); her grandchildren, Kristen Austin of Palmyra, PA and James "JD" Schultz (Jaclyn) of Crestview, FL; her great grandchildren, Miranda, Maycee, Wyatt, Patrick and Riley; her sister Betty; and her brother-in-law Larry Clark. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Donations in Lois's memory may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or a local food pantry.
