He was predeceased by: his parents, Christine Ruest (Demarco) and Paul E. Ruest; his wife Claire (Cormier); and his son Michael A. Ruest. He is survived by: his girlfriend Helen Whitaker of Diamond Point, NY; his daughters, Karen Johnson (Mark) of Georgetown, MA. and Michele Ruest of Douglas, MA.; and his grandchildren, Michael Johnson (Laura) of West Chesterfield, VA and Erin Johnson of Georgetown, MA..
He graduated from Joseph Case High School in 1953 where he was awarded the Danford Foundation Award for Scholastic and Athletic Achievements.
