He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William King and Yao Ying King; his son Bentley King (Tina); his grandsons, Julian and Dylan of New York City; his stepdaughter Alison Melville (Chris); his children, Maeve and Clive of San Francisco; and his siblings, LT King, Roger King (Alice) and Sylvia Chen (Richard). He was also cherished by two nieces, seven nephews.
