She was predeceased by: her parents, Leola F. Decker and Luther Decker; and her siblings, Alice Bergstressar, Dorothy Hall, Gerry Van Norstrand, Kenneth Decker and Marvin Decker.
She is survived by: her husband Stanley Galek; her son Philip A. Galek (Laura); her grandson Phil Galek; her great grandchildren, Gianna and Gavin Galek of Wolcott, NY; her daughter Colleen Meunier (Leon); and her grandchildren, Chad Meunier (Bambi), Justin Meunier and Keirstin Meunier of Wassaic, NY..
Besides working in the Coffee Cup, Bernie also worked the breakfast shift at Billie's Diner, and the Greek's Restaurant in Wolcott before retiring from the Alzheimer ward at the Wayne County Nursing Home, Lyons NY in 1995.
