He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter J., Jr. and Leona O'Dell Bivens. He is survived by: his wife Debra A. Wayman Bivens; his sons, Walter J. Bivins, IV (Sarah Dorsey) of Oneonta, NY, Joseph Bivens (Shiela Gatchalian) of Downsville, NY and Steven Bivens (Sommer) of Puerto Rico; and his brother Neil Bivens (Midge) of Downsville, NY. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one niece, one nephew and one great niece.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Harris Funeral Home - Roscoe (11 Railroad Ave, Roscoe, NY 12776). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
