Kent Tryon Obituary

He was predeceased by: his father Kenneth E. Tryon; his grandparents, Howard and Marian Havington; and his brother Robert Scott Claypoole. He is survived by: his children, Brian Tryon (Kazia) and Danielle Schwarz (Chris); his grandchildren, Jace Simmons, Jordyn Tryon, Lily Schwarz and Syras Tryon; his wife Elaine M. Hopkins; and his siblings, Jen Grady (Jim), William Claypoole and Lynnford "Jason" Claypoole.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Dryden Fire Department (26 North St, Dryden, NY 13053).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Wreaths Across America, continuing Kent's lifelong mission of honoring fellow veterans.
