She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgard Read and Bessie Mae Read Humphries (McMachan); her husband Francis R. "Sonny" DeSanto; and her sisters, Lynn Ward and Joan Battey.

She is survived by: her children, David DeSanto (Lisa) of Texas, Lynn DiMartino (John) of Rochester, NY and Mary Ellen Smith (Pat) of Hornell; her grandchildren, Amber Smith (Cody Greene), Elyssa Stewart (Zach), Haydn Smith, Natalie and Alex DiFiore; and her brother-in-law Richard DeSanto of Rochester, NY. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
