It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn D. Whalen of Dunkirk, New York, who passed away on June 1, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Damian and Theresa Damian (Majka); her husbands, Harry "Mike" Cudzilo and Matthew Whalen; her daughter Nancy Rozen (late Frank T.); and her siblings, Joan Bielaszka, Lorraine Maslach, Irene Collins, Harry, Chester, Joseph, Gilbert, Leon and Robert Damian.
She is survived by: her sister Patricia Kokocinski (late Richard); her granddaughters, Amy Corbett (Ryan) of Dunkirk and Tricia Dobosh (Alex) of Orchard Park; and her great grandchildren, Olivia, Brady Corbett, Jacob and Chloe Dobosh.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home, Inc. (56 E Doughty St, Dunkirk, NY 14048). A Mass will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church (328 Washington Ave, Dunkirk, NY 14048).
