It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Wisniewski (Dunkirk, New York), who passed away on January 13, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Wisniewski and Anna Wisniewski (Zwolak); his significant other Carolyn Wisniewski (Hoth); his daughter Kimberly Wisniewski; his brothers, Edward (Jenny Wisniewski) and Norman (Pauline Cherry); his mother-in-law Evelyn Hoth; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy and Ronald Odebralski.
He is survived by: his nephew Randie; his daughter Tamara Wisniewski Benjamin; his grandchildren, Noah of Dunkirk, NY. and Myah Benjamin of Dunkirk, NY.; his siblings, Joseph (Pauline Wisniewski) and Mary Ann (Don Dawson); his siblings-in-law, Diane Pulvino of Erie and David (Anita Hoth); and his nieces and nephews, Rennae DiRaimo (Joseph), Julie Williams (Jefforey), Randall Odebralski (Aimy), Jodie Bollman, Dan Cherry (Anne) of Fredonia, Carol Ahlstrom (Kevin) of Dunkirk, Brenda Altamirano (Fernando), Brian of Fredonia, Donna, Julia Hill of Dunkirk and Lynn DiRienzo of Buffalo. He is also survived by cousins, and several other special nieces, nephews, and cousins that span the United States in his large extended family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Kloecker Funeral Home in Erie, PA or a charity of one's choice.
