It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loretta A. Szalkowski (Dunkirk, New York), who passed away on January 11, 2026, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Daniel Szalkowski; and her son James (Jim) Szalkowski (Kathy). She is survived by: her children, Richard Szalkowski, Wendy Poweski (Pat) and Scott Szalkowski (Denise); her daughter-in-law Kathy Szalkowski; her sister Mary Farrell; her grandchildren, Jessica Sutton (Jeff), Megan Szalkowski, Leanne Reynolds (Doug), Kristin Szalkowski, Ashley Herrmann (Paul), Matthew Szalkowski and Michael Szalkowski; and her great grandchildren, Harry, Daniel, Kaydence Sutton, Jackson and Loretta Reynolds.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Blessed Mary Angela Parish or a charity of one's choice.
