He was predeceased by: his son Matthew; his parents, Joseph Pouthier and Marietta Pouthier (Rutland); and his parents-in-law, Clarence and Betty Machemer.

He is survived by: his wife Sally Pouthier; his son Christopher Pouthier (Julie); his grandchildren, Casea, Chelsea and Camden Pouthier; and his siblings, MaryJo Brooker, Nancy Anderson (Andy), Peter Pouthier, Michael Pouthier, John Pouthier (Jean) and Mark Pouthier (Susan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
