He was predeceased by : his parents, Lamont Dills and Clara Dills (Squires); and his brother John Dills. He is survived by : his siblings, Pat Lewis (Wilbur), Douglas Dills (Maureen), Gary Dills (Myrna), James Dills, Robert Dills (Betty) and Nancy Rankin (Steve). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bethany Volunteer Fire Department, 5253 Old Telephone Road, East Bethany, NY 14054.
