John L. Lenney Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John L. Lenney of East Greenbush, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 19, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lenney and Jane Lenney (McKenna); his wife Shirley T. Lenney; his daughter Patricia Yewdall; his granddaughter Shannon Pickering; and his siblings, William Lenney and Betty Brusso.

He is survived by: his children, Deborah Russell (Thomas Hickey), Mark Lenney (Sherri) and Michael Lenney (Risa); his grandchildren, Christopher, Orin Pickering, Peter Yewdall, Kelsey Brady (Corey), Shayna and Ethan Lenney; his great grandchildren, Darion Brown, Jacob, Dylan Pickering, Emerson and Elliana Brady; and his sister Mary Schaefer (Lenney).

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Inc. (165 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, NY 12144). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
