He was predeceased by : his parents, Josef Samide and Anna Samide (Jaklitsch); his uncle Johann Jaklitsch (Sophie); his aunts, Helen Stupp and Marie Jaklitsch; his cousin Carol Samide (Adolf); and his parents-in-law, Andrew and Vera H. Scheuermann.

He is survived by : his daughters, Andrea Samide of Slingerlands, NY, Mary-Elizabeth Friot (Jonathan) of DeKalb Junction, NY and Erica Piraino (Joseph) of North Syracuse, NY.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
