He was predeceased by : his parents, Rocco Altavilla and Maria Altavilla (Gioffre); his siblings, Antonia and Giuseppe; and his brother-in-law Rocco Cambareri.

He is survived by : his wife Rosa Altavilla (Gilona); his daughters, Maria Musolino (Joseph) and Angela King, Jr. (John); his grandchildren, Dominick Musolino (Loren), Casandra Musolino (Tom Munzert), Andrea Chiaravalloti (Frank), John P. King III, Justin R. King and Jason A. King; his great grandchildren, Ava and Damon Musolino; his siblings, Vincenzo, Concetta, Maria, Antonino and Francesco; and his siblings-in-law, Stefano Gilona (Santina), Mimma Cambareri and Giovanni Gilona. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family and will be donated to Cosimo's childhood church, S.Eufemia d'Aspromonte in Italy.
