With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eleanor Cairo (Eastchester, New York), who passed away on July 22, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Eleanor's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Eleanor has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anastasio Leone and Margaret Leone; and her sister Theresa Krywe. She is survived by: her daughter Janet Fareri (George); her grandchildren, George Fareri (Ashley), Dana Mathias (Michael), Gregory Cairo (Mariel) and Rachael Cairo; her great grandchildren, Ryan Mathias and Emma Cairo; her husband Salvatore; and her son Stephen Cairo.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Westchester Funeral Home, Inc. (190 Main St, Eastchester, NY 10709). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Eugene's Church (32 Massitoa Rd, Yonkers, NY 10710).
