He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Coats and Aroline Kettner Coats; his wife Joan M. Coats; his son Charles Coats (Mirena); and his siblings, Clyde Coats, Richard Coats, Gerald Coats and Audrey Daeffler.
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Radcliffe (Stephen), Bonnie Waite, Vickie Sova (Bert) and Patricia Duger (Leo "Squirt"); and his brother Paul Coats. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lester's memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
