He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Schroeder and Julia Schroeder; and his brothers, Henry Schrader (late Patricia), Frederick "Huck" Schader (late Margaret) and John Schroeder (late Marialice).

He is survived by: his siblings, Robert (Elfriede), Carl Schroeder (Anita) and Mary Munn (Richard).
