He is survived by: his children, Sherri Pates (James), Jennifer Doraski (Joseph), Krista Hillyard and Norman, Jr. Hillyard (Angela); and his grandchildren, Julia, Anthony, Joseph, Teya, Alyssa, Gianna and Niko. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
