Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved David Mills of Elmira Heights, New York, who passed away at the age of 74, on September 20, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Patricia Bennett and Alfred Mills; and his sister Catherine Felker. He is survived by: his wife Sheila (Finnell); his children, Rebecca Geiger (Dan) of Centreville, VA, Bridgette Gibbs (Jon) of Elmira, NY and Shawn Mills of Wilmington, NC; his grandchildren, Peyton, Connor, Sydney, Lucian and Corbin; his sister Patricia Mills; and his in-laws, Robert, Susan Sparrow, Timothy and Kathleen Meisenzahl. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Elmira Hibernian Center of Chemung County (701 Kinyon St, Elmira, NY 14904).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ASPCA or a local animal shelter in memory of David and his foxhound, Ariel.
