We are sad to announce that on June 8, 2025, John Anthony Smith of Elmira Heights, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may John Anthony find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Smith and Agnes Smith (Heffernan); his wife Constance McElroy Smith; his sons, Kevin (Shelli Martin), Christopher (Linda Smith), Mark Smith of Williamsport, PA and Patrick (Alicia Smith); his sister Marie Ferro of Sayre, PA; and his nephew Michael. He was also cherished by several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McInerny Funeral Home (502 W Water St, Elmira, NY 14905). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
