He was predeceased by: his mother Sarah Casterline (Platt); his son Gary, Jr.; and his sister Sally Hitchcock. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Casterline (Knapp); his daughter Tami Steno of Syracuse, NY; his stepchildren, LouAnn of Horseheads, Ted Wahl of Horseheads, Pam of Horseheads, Rich Cram of Horseheads and Nicholas Palmieri of Horseheads; and his siblings, Joyce Platt of Elmira and Bobby Hitchcock. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
