The passing of Lena Ann Evans of Elmira, New York leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on October 14, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold D. Lockwood and Cecelia Carboni Lockwood; her siblings, Alice McCauliffe, Carmella Frijo, Mary Ann Gugliotta and Frank Frijo; and her siblings-in-law, Jill Lockwood, Joseph Canah and John Swanson.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas Evans Sr.; her children, William J. Evans (Jennifer), Anthony M. Evans (Melinda Willing) and Karyn A. Evans; her stepchildren, Thomas Evans Jr., Robert Evans (Merranda) and Susan Marie Templar (Guy); her brother Harold Lockwood; her stepbrother Dominic Frijo (Marsha); and her sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Swanson, Mary Ellen Canha and Kathy Luccarelli (Gerald). She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the McInerny Funeral Home (502 W Water St, Elmira, NY 14905). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the same location. A prayer will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery (623 Franklin St, Elmira, NY 14904).
