He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Big Bob" Johnson and Jean Marie Johnson; and his wife Brenda Leigh Johnson (Crom). He is survived by: his son James Joseph Johnson; his brother Robert; his sister-in-law Ginny; his brother Stephen; his sister-in-law Kathleen; his stepmother Roslyn Crom; his brother Michael; his sister-in-law Nancy Crom; his sister Marie; his brother-in-law Robert Ringler; his extensive Kiwanis; and also J. Oliver Crom. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews; countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the McInerny Funeral Home (502 W Water St, Elmira, NY 14905). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the same location.
