He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelis DeBruin and Maayke DeBruin (Veenhoof); his wives, Grietje (Versluis) and Nona (Casey); his sisters, Jannie Hofman (Hans) and Marie Zantman (Sjef); and his siblings-in-law, Ed, Leroy Denson, John Liddic, Abraham and Shari.
He is survived by: his children, Maria DeSanto (Thomas), Jacob (Terri), Cornelis (Shannon), Cathy Hammond (Bob), Luann Shellenberger, Daniel Lewis and Denise Lewis; and his siblings, Marinus, Alie, Maaike, Bartha Liddic, Johanna Wilcox (Joe), Cornelia Denson and Wilhelmina Dibble (Paul). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
